As much as the Glee Club sounded fun, you couldn't help but feel nervous about singing in front of other people. You had only ever sang for yourself before, and the thought of someone else hearing you filled you with anxiety. As much as you didn't want to disappoint Kurt, you didn't think you had it in you to join the Glee Club. You'd find friends elsewhere; maybe in your classes?
You ended up finishing your senior year uneventfully. You didn't have particularly high grades, you didn't join any clubs, and you didn't make any lifelong friends. After you walked the stage, you felt a sense of hollowness regarding your senior year. You couldn't help but wish that you had done something different, gotten involved in something you could be passionate about.
